Embrace the Storm

On loneliness, the universal weather underneath it, and the quiet permission to feel it all.

This is for the night-version of the question am I the only one who feels this? The answer is no. You aren’t.

You’re not alone
I know it may feel that way
But you’re not
We all go through it

Pain and sadness
Joy and laughter
Love and heartbreak
Take solace in this

Life has many lessons
I’m still learning them
But I do know this: life can give
And life can take

In the blink of an eye
Things can change
For better or for worse
So embrace the storm

Because when you do
You’ll allow yourself
To be alive — even if it hurts
But to live… means experiencing it all

To live means experiencing it all. The pain too. The pain especially. We get told to chase the high parts and avoid the low ones, but the low ones are where most of the depth happens — the ones who’ve felt it the hardest are usually also the ones who can love the deepest.

Embrace the storm. Not because it won’t hurt. Because the alternative is not feeling much of anything, and that’s not a life worth protecting.
